This Astrologer Ethics & Confidentiality Policy (“Policy”) establishes the professional, ethical, and confidentiality standards expected from every astrologer (“Astrologer”, “you”, “your”) associated with DG Life and Wellness Pvt. Ltd. (“Company”, “we”, “us”, “our”).
By accepting engagement with Counsel Karo, each Astrologer agrees to comply with the terms outlined below.
The objective of this Policy is to ensure that all consultations and interactions on the Counsel Karo Platform are conducted with integrity, professionalism, and respect for user privacy.
This Policy applies to all astrologers, consultants, and related professionals engaged directly or indirectly with Counsel Karo, whether on a full-time, part-time, or retainership basis.
All astrologers are expected to:
- Deliver consultations honestly, responsibly, and with due care.
- Avoid making absolute predictions or false promises of guaranteed results.
- Maintain professionalism and politeness in all user communications.
- Treat clients with respect, empathy, and sensitivity at all times.
- Avoid discriminatory, offensive, or inappropriate language or behavior.
- Follow the time schedules, formats, and standards prescribed by Counsel Karo.
Astrologers must maintain strict confidentiality of all user information, including:
- Personal details (name, date/time/place of birth, contact information, etc.)
- Consultation content, questions, or chat/call transcripts
- Payment or order details
- Any other data shared by Counsel Karo or the client
Such information may be used only for the purpose of providing astrological services through Counsel Karo and must not be shared, disclosed, or used for any other personal or commercial purpose.
Violation of confidentiality obligations will lead to immediate termination and may attract legal consequences under applicable data protection laws.
Astrologers agree to:
- Provide services in good faith and in alignment with the belief-based nature of astrology.
- Avoid creating fear, dependency, or emotional distress in clients.
- Not exploit client vulnerabilities for monetary or personal gain.
- Avoid pressuring clients into purchasing remedies or products.
- Ensure that any suggested remedies are made in the client’s best interest and aligned with faith-based ethics.
- Astrologers act as independent professionals associated with Counsel Karo, not as employees.
- All communication with clients must occur only through official Counsel Karo channels.
- Astrologers shall not solicit clients outside the Platform or promote personal services.
- All bookings and payments must be processed exclusively via Counsel Karo systems.
- Astrologers should avoid misleading claims or exaggerated credentials.
- Profile descriptions and qualifications listed on the Platform must be truthful and verifiable.
- If an astrologer feels unqualified to answer a query, they should politely decline or suggest an alternate expert within Counsel Karo
- Astrologers should use secure devices and networks while accessing client data or consultations.
- Any notes, charts, or reports prepared for users must be stored safely and deleted when no longer needed.
- Unauthorized copying, downloading, or transferring of client data outside the Platform is prohibited.
- If suggesting remedies (gemstones, pooja, yantra, etc.), astrologers must ensure the suggestion is faith-based and not medically or financially misleading.
- Any remedy or product recommendation must go through Counsel Karo’s official channels.
- Astrologers must not independently sell, promote, or distribute products to users.
Astrologers associated on an exclusive or retainership basis with Counsel Karo agree not to:
- Offer or advertise similar astrology services through competing platforms during the term of their engagement; or
- Use client data obtained from Counsel Karo for any external or competing purpose.
Any such action shall constitute a breach of this Policy and the Astrologer’s retainership agreement.
Any unethical, fraudulent, or inappropriate activity by astrologers may be reported to Counsel Karo management.
The Company reserves the right to review, suspend, or terminate astrologer access if found in violation of this Policy or the Terms of Engagement.
Counsel Karo may modify or update this Policy as necessary. Continued association with the Platform constitutes acceptance of any revised terms.
By continuing to provide services through Counsel Karo, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to comply with this Astrologer Ethics & Confidentiality Policy in full.
